Acne scars are making my life a living hell!! I am desperate for help, what can I do?

Question
I´m at the point where I just can´t bear it any longer. I would never commit suicide, but right now I am so upset that I just wish I were dead. My life is ruined by my looks!

I have had acne since I was 10, and I am 30 now and my face is severely scarred. You look at my face and all you see are ugly pits. It looks like chewed up hamburger meat, not just a flaw or two. My face is horribly disfigured. I just got back some photos of myself and I was so upset I cried when I saw them. My mom says that it´s the light, but there are three other girls in the photo and they all look PERFECT.

Other girls have cute moles or cute freckles, but out of the three billion men on earth, I am sure that NOT ONE wants to marry a girl with a face full of acne scars? I look like someone cut me with a knife.

Blame the poor film quality all day, but that doesn´t explain why the other girls in the photo looked perfect.

This has always upset me, but it´s gotten to the point where I´m sad all the time. I shudder every time I look in the mirror.

I am so lonely and would like to have a boyfriend, but realistically I know that no one would ever want me. When the the other 99 percent of the population has perfect skin, why would a guy want to be with a girl with an ugly, disfigured face?

I went to the dermatologist, but the stupid bitch was NO help… she just said coldly that nothing could be done. This is a very vulnerable situation because it´s breaking my heart… I´ll never know what it´s like to have a man love and cherish me and I´ll never get to be a beautiful bride on my wedding day. No one in the world is ever going to want me because of my ugly, pitty face.

I am so upset that I want to die. I would gladly trade this for a life threatening illness as long as it didn´t affect my appearance. I´m not going to kill myself but I have no appetite, can´t eat or sleep and I´m just so sad that I´m scared I´ll die of a broken heart.

Please someone, tell me a way I can be pretty. Just like a normal girl. I was completely sane, but this problem is making me crazy. I need a solution about how to get rid of these ugly scars, now, my sanity depends on it. I´ll just die of a broken heart, literally. I want to have soft, smooth skin, just like other girls.

Thanks if you can help me.

No one has perfect skin. Also, men aren’t always as superficial as we think :) Don’t count yourself out before you try. The reason you don’t have a boyfriend is because you won’t let yourself have one. Your negative outlook has changed your chances. Your low self-esteem is what the guys are seeing, not your face. Guys will talk to you as long as you’re confident about yourself. The man that is meant for you will love you not matter what. Love is an emotional connection and looks aren’t going to matter. Also, the dermatologist you went to see lied to you. There is something you can do about the scars. I suggest another dermatologist. Chemical peels or dermabrasion can help smooth out your skin.

I have had the same problem since i was about 14 and i am now 20. I used to feel bad about my scars too all through middle and high school. I have worn make up since 14 because of the scars i would get from the acne. Even though i still have quite a few they have really cleared up. I started eating alot of fruits and vegetables because they help my skin cells to turnover quickly. I also found that me wearing make up really protects my natural face from sun exposure and moisture so i dont get acne from oil build up. I also wash my face every night no matter what. There is also alot of products now that can speed up cell turnover. And another thing i did tryed my best not to pick in my face because that is what makes it worse. Good luck

gettng soft smooth skin is going to take a lot of work and a lot of money. But you should know that you’re not alone. I also had acne when I was 11 and now I’m 21 and still have it monthly. But it depends on whether you still have acne now. If you don’t the scars will fade in a year or two naturally. If you want to accelerate the process, do expoliations daily, just don’t do it more than 2 times a day or else it’ll do harm to your skin. Expoliations work even when you do have acne, so it’s probably a good investment.

Just go to a cosmetic store and ask for some recommendations. You should know your skin type as that will help the customer service to help you find the right products. Next you need to find the right facial cleanser. And this is the long and tedious and money consuming part. The right one is out there, but fr everyone it’s different. I use neutrigena, and it works for me, but I know other people that hate it. ou just need to find the right one. So just go out buy a bottle and use it for about 2 weeks. If you don’t think your face looks cleaner afterwards, switch to a different one.

Also, I think you’re misdirecting your anger to your skin about not finding a boyfriend. Have you gone to single socials or speed dates? People won’t just go up to your door and ask you out you know. You need to actively pursue a love life if you truly want it. And not all men are that shallow, if you really need to, try something like eHarmony or Match.com even. I know of a couple happily married now that met online. And perhaps its even better to meet them online first. You start with a conversation and end with knowing more about their personality than their face. I hope this helps. :D

To have pretty smooth skin you must pay attention to your diet. I have found that cutting out the sugar and drinking plenty of water gets rid of the scarring. When you drink a lot of water, it flushes the impurities through your kidneys which makes your skin soft. Not enough water and eating lots of carbohydrates excellerates the condition. In addition, you need a great moisterizer that will keep your skin from being crusty and scaly. Having this condition, I have found a great product that helps me tremendously. Check it out, at

Has the Bible changed your life?

Question
I’m a Bible believing Christian. I can’t read it. It doesn’t make sense at all. I understand Philipians 4:13 and John 3:16. But how does believing in the Bible help one’s life after asking Jesus into their heart? I’m lost in life right now and I pray every day, and I make an effort to change my life but I keep getting the same results. I feel at a loss for people, and I pray to God. I keep asking for help but I feel worse and worse. I don’t want to live a life being socially inept. I think I will always have an inferiority complex because of my red hair and freckles, which affects my personality and affects me. I guess God screwed up with me. So, has the bible changed your life besides the cliche’ bible verse sayings (like they actually matter since they’re said all the time). Sorry but I screwed up the last four years of my life, and want to hurt myself. Please answer

  2. olde finnn says:

I dont believe that any book written by man should change anyone’s life. It may have an influence on you but to the point of completely changing a life thats too extreme, and proves that human naiveness

  3. truth seeker says:

yes when we follow what god tells us to do it changes our life

    read the epistles paul wrote
god tells us how we should live as christians

we start putting those things into practice what god tells us to do.

you do not need to hurt your self
we all fail we all make mistakes
we pick our self up and we dust our self off and we start over again and again and again

if at first you do not succeed try, try, try again.
never give up and never surrender

  4. William says:

Yes, the bible has changed my life.

First, pray whenever you read the bible, that the LORD may reveal unto you wisdom regarding the meaning of His inspired word.

Also, know that all the law and the prophets are based on two great commandments:

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
    Matt 22:36-40 (KJV)

Therefore, when you read the bible, read it with this perspective in mind, and everything should then make sense for you. Love God. Love your neighbor.

When you read the bible, you’ll either read a passage that reinforces this, or you’ll read where someone has erred regarding this. Either way, there’s something to learn about how better to love God and to love our neighbor, and just how much He loves us.

  7. Erik B says:

I have read the whole bible and all of it is summed up into one word, which God said we should do, and that is to love. First love God, then love one another…there is nothing else that is required of us, and here is love:
1Cor13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
I’m sorry that you feel that way about the way you look, I happen to like red hair and I really like freckles and well you know, God made you perfect just as you are. Please don’t hurt yourself, surely you will hurt others as well as yourself if you do this. And you are most precious you know.

  8. AmeliaBedelia says:

If you are feeling at a loss for people then continue to pray. If you aren’t receiving a peace about things then maybe you just haven’t given those prayers up totally to Him. In other words you’re worrying too much. Enjoy Him and learn to read the Word a verse at a time. What I’ve done in the past, and thanks for reminding me, is to pray read the word. They will become more significant as you do this. Take John 3:16 for instance. We can do it right now.
For God…..Oh hallelujah For God……For God so loved the world…..Wow, God so loved the world…..that He gave…..Amen, HE gave…….For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son……He gave His only begotten Son….that whosoever…..WHOSOEVER…..believeth on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. Wow, God gave His only begotten Son that whosoever, it doesn’t matter who, whosoever believes will….not might or maybe but will have everlasting life.
If you learn to pray read the Word of God then they will start to become reality. And when you pray ask Him to open the Words up to you for the scriptures say that in His Word there is life.

  10. 鄭氏 says:

I am a 26 year old Chinese-American girl born and raised in the USA. I firmly believe I was an American soldier who was killed in in the Pacific during World War 2. Specifically, I think I was a pilot or perhaps some kind of ground support for pilots and planes. I have had no schooling of the aircraft used in the Pacific during WW2. However, if I watch old films or documentaries of the war, I can identify different aircraft by their shape and also by the sound of their engines. On some occasions, I have caught errors in the films, particularly when the editors used the sound of one plane engine during a film clip of another type of plane. For example, I saw a clip of a North American P-51 but knew they dubbed in the sound of a F4U Corsair, a completely different plane. I never learned the names of these aircraft. I just knew them as soon as I saw or heard them.

When I hear the sound of WW2 aircraft, it is very soothing and exciting at the same time, particularly the sound of Boeing B-29 Super Fortress engines. It is a beautiful sound that seems like a part of my own soul. I have a sense of loss and long to go back to finish something that was cut short. It can only be described as wanting to be back in a time and place I felt a part of.

In films where the camera was mounted on a fighter plane during combat or strafing runs, I feel perfectly comfortable and know how to guide the control stick instinctively as if I’ve been in the cockpit hundreds of times. I do this without ever having flown a plane in this present lifetime. I know how to bank and lead with the wing mounted guns in order to hit a target and also become frustrated when the actual pilot of a filmed plane misses his target because he did not know how to guide the aircraft properly Sometimes when I see photos or films of an American airfield, it seems as if I have been there and I know the terrain, structures, airstrips, planes, and more. I seem to feel the hot sun on my skin and can smell odors of aircraft fuel, exhaust, the sea, local vegetation, cigarettes, and sweat. On one occasion, I instinctively knew the name of a Pacific Island before the film’s narrator mentioned it. It’s like I had been there before.

While I am good at identifying certain planes used in the Pacific, I do not know the sounds non-American aircraft used in during WW2 in Europe. I only know those used in the Pacific, including the distant sound of the Japanese planes. I never learned or studied any of this stuff during this present lifetime. Also, I love the music of that time. It’s weird.
