Can a Blue Ram Cichlid be with a Red Tailed Shark in a 55 gallon?
I have a Red Tail Boa and all he does is stay under his fake rock. ?
Some pet stores provide hide boxes and things for their snakes, this makes me happy, most do not though so the snakes can be seen at all times
Snakes are not pets you will see often, they like the cramped feeling and hate being seen, so they are always hiding. they bask only when it is absolutely necessary.
Just make sure his temperature is being kept at a good variance and buy him a hideaway if you don’t have one.. that will make him a much more happy camper, remember they need to feel cramped, if the hideaway looks like they have a lot of room in there, crumple up some newspaper to make the space more tight fitting.
But your snake seems pretty normal to me, just hiding from everything like they all do all the time =)

Go with your gut when dealing with them if something seems off it most likely is. Check the BOI on there if you don’t trust them almost everyone in the herp world has a post about them bad and good. If not ask around about them.
I have only been scammed once when I first started out but didn’t know about the BOI or anything like that.
You could also try craigslist, hoobly, kijiji if you would rather do a local thing.
A few reptile forums have a for sale section you can post on.
