I don’t really think Bill Maher made Ron Paul look like a fool. I’m not sure he was trying though. Seems to like him!

You call cracking jokes serious debate? Considering who you put in the White House, I guess that’s about your level.

Anyone watch the ABC republican debate last night?

Question
It looked like a bunch of children taking potshots at each other. These guys seem more concerned about winning than addressing most issues with an honest answer. One thing I noticed, the only candidate on stage who was polite and didn’t cut anyone off or laugh and snicker while other people spoke was Ron Paul. Whether you disagree with him or not, he seemed to be the only adult in the room who gave straightforward answers that seemed to fly over the heads of the other candidates. I don’t agree with everything Ron Paul says, but his answers are honest and make sense, which seems to be asking too much from the other candidates running.
Answered by dogsngoat
It was painful to watch (but you’re right about RP)
Answered by unstephenk
Fred Thompson was polite as well. Ron Paul was ignored by everyone.
Answered by JOSH
Yes, it seemed like the other candidates were more concerned about taking cheap shots at Ron Paul then actually answering any questions he posed to them. If they really believe he has no chance in hell of winning the nomination, why be so worried about what he has to say?
I read an article where it said only two candidates showed up, Ron Paul and Fredmitt McGiulihuck. On one side you have Ron Paul, who is an advocate for freedom, peace, balanced budget, and a humble foreign policy ( you know that crazy stuff thats in the constitution ) and on the other side you have Fredmitt McGiulihuck, which is for the exact opposite, attacking other nations with force, bankrupting america, warrant-less wire taping (you know, that normal and accepted stuff thats no where to be found in the constitution) read the article below.

I especially liked Charlie Gibson doing the “rundown” on each candidate, one by one, and how they had changed their minds on certain issues. When he came to Ron Paul, he hesitated, and said something to the effect that he (Paul) is always constant.

That, alone, speaks volumes.

Cons, are you sad that Obama is beating the Republicans like a red headed stop child in the debt debate?

Question
Obama will get a deal or it will appear as if Republicans were blocking all progress on long term deficit reduction while protecting loopholes for the wealthy and trying to cut medicare completely.
Answered by Gundie
That is the way things are looking.

Obama is a political genius. Republicans have been exposed as fools at this point. The most recent polls show the people trust Obama with the economy more than any Republican. Ya cons are only helping Obama.

HAHAHAHAHAH

Answered by Shovel Ready
Not real sure what you are talking about here. You seem to think this is a game. Note that obama has brought no plan of any kind to the table.
Answered by How would I know
And when he’s done.. will he once again end up crying and running out of the room like he did yesterday?
Answered by Twentyfive Gophousevotes
So did you get a deal?

No b/c we are throwing your head against a wall

Will a debate Candidate eat a live child at the debates 2nite to please the GOP voters?

Question
Gov. Perry could sure use the ‘positive’ press this would bring him among Republican voters.

What do you think?

Answered by MK
Haha. No.
Answered by Mitchell
Not a live child, a live UNICORN! Please get your facts straight.
Answered by Crying tears of geek joy.

Bill Maher is a fraud, and bitter cuz he’s short and ugly.

Ann Coulter or Mark Levin would shred that third rate jester.

Guess what? He edits his show so he comes out on top, even when he’s bested by others. What a fraud.

  5. Arch Duke Smokey III says:

I would say that Jon Stewart is perhaps even more informed than Bill Maher but I would say that if anybody might stand a chance against Bill Maher it might be Mitch Daniels.

He totally owned her of course

Any one of them! Billy M is a comedian, not a politician! He is there to entertain the masses, I guess its working. BTW Dem’s say the masses are asses. But, I guess that is correct considering the entire donky thing…=)

  9. wolfman says:

Uh…Bill Maher is a comedian. How can you be a “partial comedian?” His studio is stacked with his supporters who are prompted to applaud whenever he makes a “brilliant” remark. He is a seriously biased and one sided court jester. He even combs his hair and dresses to look silly. How can anyone take him seriously?
We love it when he has Michael Moore on his show. Here are two millionaires who have taken full advantage of capitalism and are enjoying the lifestyle their money has brought them sitting and criticizing capitalists. That by itself is hilarious.

  10. Paladin says:

I assume you meant “red headed step child”

why are you prejudiced against red heads and step children

  11. Texas Patriot says:

Actually you’re wrong. Obama played his hand when he said “Don’t call my bluff”. Now the Republicans know he is bluffing.
In 2009 Obama said that you don’t raise taxes on anyone during a deep recession. Umm, I think we are in a deep recession so what has changed?
What makes you think medicare is going to get cut completely. Under Obamacare Obama is going to take 500billion out of medicare to help pay for Obamacare, then he is going to reward care providers by how much money they save. The more money you save the bigger the reward. Sounds like health care rationing to me.
By the way, what is a red headed stop child?

  12. Atmospheric Pressure says:

That’s all Chicago street theater, Obama knew all along he would get something.

  13. Eat Me says:

Probably not, since the baby will likely be a republican. All the liberal ones were aborted.
