Do they make baby Mobiles where you can record a parents voice or insert pictures of the parent?
Question
I have a friend who is having a baby in the next couple months, her husband is currently deployed until next June. I want to get her a gift and started thinking that a baby mobile that you could put pictures of daddy and maybe record his voice or something like that would be cool! Any one know if they make anything like this? If so where could I find it?

If its out there – Amazons got it. Start googling. Just wanted to say what a thoughtful gift this is/would be. Youre an amazing friend to consider all she must be going thru at this exciting and very emotional time, and not being able to share it with her husband. Thank God for you! I hope you do find it – if not…make it. I betcha you could – voice recorders are available everywhere and the mobile would be easy. Heck, if its nice – market it (yes!! Be like that lady who taught her cat to pee in the potty…shes a millionaire as of last week – OMG!!).

How do I get a good voice? My parents wont let me take lessons though..?
Question
I know there are singing lessons, but my parents wont let me. They say i don’t need to sing. But I love to! All I really know about it is lots of water for the voice and stay away from dairy. Thats about it. So how do I get a nice, loud, crisp voice without lesson?

well, make sure you are consuming dairy, b/c your body needs that to be healthy, just not before you are about to perform for a concert or something like that. what you could try is to find artists that you like to listen to, buy their CD, and listen and sing along to their songs. singing is more of a thing that you just need to keep doing and it’ll come along naturally.
another thing you could do is buy a lesson book along w/ an instructional CD to help you along the way if you need.
just a few suggestions. hope that helps!

you are correct about the water and dairy, but when drinking water you don’t want ice cold water. if you have a keyboard or piano you could practice scales. you could even practice by doing karaoke on youtube. I have the disney sing it! game for wii and it has a thing on it where you practice and learn techniques. i know most of them because i take lessons but they still help.

Hallmark card stores were selling them, but wouldnt be suprised if they caught on and others like Barnes and Noble or amazon, would have “recordable children’s books”, just search on that.

That’s a great idea! I couldn’t find a photo mobile with a recorder, but I did find some recorders and photo mobiles seperate. Good luck looking!!

Or an idea: you could go to Build-a-Bear and see if you could buy one of their vice recorders for their bears without putting it in a bear, and you could record dad’s voice with that, and perhaps you could just attatch that to a mobile. (With “unusual” requests like that, you might want to ask for a manager of the store.) This would be a lot cheaper than buying a regular voice recorder (like this one: http://www.amazon.com/PERSONAL-VOICE-RECORDER/dp/B000KM05GM/ref=sr_1_23?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1311737096&sr=1-23 )
i have the same problem. my parents won’t let me take lessons and i would love to become a singer. i just don’t have a good voice. i have disney sing it and it actually has helped. you should buy it even if your not a fan of disney. there is a part in it that they offers warm-ups, and teaches you about pitch, accuracy, harmony, and breathing techniques. then you could sing all different songs and try to stay on key. i can stay on key but my voice doesn’t sound the best. just keep practicing and once you think your good enough put videos of you singing on youtube. that’s what i’m going to do. hope i helped and good luck.
