dog the bounty hunter fake your thoughts?
Question
i mean heres my thoughts on the show.. he really never goes after the real hardcore criminals only minor offenders.. he never goes for like any gangsters or people with real guns.. and when he goes out to find criminals he wears all this crap that would make him stand out.. your thoughts?
Answered by laughalot
he goes after the criminals that were bonded out of jail from his bail bond company. if they were murderers or gangsters then he would go after them too.

He’s taking bad people off the streets. I like his show.:D

I am pretty sure some of it is staged. There is 1 scene when his daughter is try to take down a “fugitive” and a foot chase starts, when they finally catch up to her you can see in the background that the police have to roads blocked off. This “fugitive” was a grown man and he couldn’t outrun a chick and a guy carrying a camera filming the “chase”. Dog and his group of models from the “tough guys R us ” catalog only seem to go after drug addicts who are hiding at their brother’s house.
I asked if Dog the Bounty hunter is real or fake.?
Question
I just looked up operation repo and it was said that there was some re-enacting and that if was fake for tv purposes. So it hit me wether or not are these other reality shows have that same agenda.
Answered by Taylor
Of course they are playing up to the camera some but he is a real bounty hunter

The majority of the hunts are real. I believe the time spent way from bounty hunting is scripted somewhat
Answered by kri-shell
i think that the actual hunts are real. the other stuff they show if probably fake.

do you think dog on dog the bounty hunter is fake?
Question
some magazines say he is
Answered by strictly layla
Nope, he’s the real deal as far as being a bounty hunter goes but he’s not a Christian as he professes because he uses too much bad language. I think he wasn’t anything major til he grabbed that heir to Max Factor and his 15 minutes of fame are just about over.

hes drama queen. he is a real bounty hunter but all the stupid stuff he says is just for the camera. one day i hope they go after a guy who has a real gun and get shot at.

Answered by Dancing to 3/4 time
I’m pretty sure its real. They obviously cut out a lot of things, but for the most part yeah.
Answered by Idaho Mom
oh man, I hope it’s real! I think it would have to be, I don’t think you can fake some of that stuff, like the hair, clothes, praying with the cons they pick up….that is good TV
Answered by LALA Land
im pretty sure its real because of it being so boring because they talk about how they are going to catch them and plus if it wasn’t real u would see people dieing and people getting bombed it would be unrealistic.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is a reality show based on a real man and his family. Like most reality shows, it straddles the fine line of reality with varying results. Obviously, Dog knows that the more interesting he acts, the longer he’ll have a show, so a certain degree, much of it is theatricality. But the criminals he chases are real. And I’m sure they put on a little act once they realize there are cameras around too.

hate to bust bubbles, but all reality shows have, editing, music, staging, camera angles that intensives scenes, their directed, told to encourage “arguing”, the ny housewives have hired publicitiy firms..& advertising $ $ $ s are coming in; big time!! so……look beyond the veneer…..im an actor & film maker…….they use tecniques ive used…
I watch it, not a regular basis, but often enough to get a good idea about the characters on the show. Personally, I think they are phonies. Not that they aren’t real bounty hunters or bail bonds firm, but they try to come off as the moral, upstanding voice of reason with their fugitives, however they will break laws when it suits their purpose (remember Mexico?). I think they are hypocrites of an unimagineable proportion. I wish they would just capture their fugitives, get them in a jail cell, and move on, instead of wasting air time with all their moral preaching.
Also, when they go on a hunt for a fugitive, Dog brings along two very risky liabilities with him. The first one is his wife, Beth, who doesn’t know when to keep her big yap shut. She talks tough to fugitives, but only after the guys have brought someone down, and got restraints on them. In once case, her big mouth got Leland in a punch-out with a fugitive’s relative or friend. The guy she ran her mouth off at got tired of it (Can’t say that I blame the guy), and confronted her. Leland had to step in to protect her from getting (justifiably) her lights possibly punched out. The other liability is that daughter of his, Baby Lyssa…she has no business being on the street. That fool tried to chase down a fugitive by herself, and when she grabbed him, he threw her off and pushed her to the ground. What amazed me is she gets all mad, and indignant that she got pushed around. What did she expect a fugitive to do…ask her politely to let him go?? She is as dumb as a bag of hammers. What also amazed me is that burn-out, Tim, said he was “impressed” with her trying to bring this guy down. In reality, any other bail bonds company would have brought disciplinary action against her, or fired her, for such stupidity. Bottom line, those women are going to get themselves, or one of the guys, either badly hurt, or killed one of these days.
They may be a real bail bonds, but I doubt very much if I would ever hire them.
