I’ll be flying from Thailand, which is 88 at the moment! Just 70 is somewhat cool for me lol.

I would bring summer and winter….its cool right now but we have had days in the 70 degree range latelty

Today it is in the mid 40′s with a wind chill which makes it feel like it is in the 30′s.

Listen to wise… from NO. I’m from San Antonio Tx, which is a bit further west. Take two sweaters or easily packed sweat type tops. You won’t need them but just in case. Something to layer. In the evening you might need a sweater. Bring some long sleeve and short sleeve.

We had snow flurries on the northshore lastnight! Very, very, uncommon, though. When it does get cold down here in south Louisiana, it happens so fast you didn’t see it coming.
In March, large varieties in weather, what with spring fronts passing thru and all. It WAS much warmer on Thursday, and this a.m., it’s about 30-32 north of the lake. Whatever you do, bring some kind of jacket. Even if it’s just a light windbreaker, you will find yourself needing it possibly. Other than a jacket, just bring normal lightweight clothing. You won’t need any woolens or mittens or anything like that.

New Orleans weather in mid-March is usually pleasant, with short-sleeve temps in the daytime and cooler at night. However, it isn’t completely predictable. Check the weather forecast the day before you leave home and make any adjustments needed.

Beware of one other thing besides the somewhat cool nights. We are approaching monsoon season here. The day after Mardi Gras we had 4 inches of rain in one morning, which led to street flooding. That was extreme even for us, but we do still have some pretty ugly spot showers that can really dump on you without much warning.

right now its hot, humid, with a chance of rain. It’ll stay that way for a few months so I’d say pack for warm weather. if he’ll be here into october november time he may want to pack some warm stuff too

Very hot, very humid, very uncomfortable if you aren’t used to it. And it will be like that for awhile yet.

i’m glad I already live here .. cuz its hard to pack for our weather.
1 day its in the 40s (like today) .. and the next day its 75 .. no joke .. we never put away our summer clothes heh.
I’d say .. most of your clothes u bring should be summer clothes. But Bring a few jeans or pants and at least a worm jacket. I hate wearing long sleeves .. so I usually wear a jacket over my short sleeves… especially because sometimes it will be COLD in the morning .. then SO HOT in the afternoon

Warm and sticky. keep up on the weather channel they will tell you what the weather is like or… google it for that area and you will be up to date for the weather.
Look up the weather online. Nobody can predict the weather two weeks in advance, either. Wait a while.
However, weather in New Orleans in summer is usually hot and humid. If it’s pretty hot, it can really suck your energy.

It’s pretty humid here as everyone else has said. Make sure you have mosquito repellant! A light jacket for just in case he gets to any places (inside) that could be cold…people run the a/c down here like we’re literally in the desert! Also, umbrella…rain rain rain! We get a lot of it!
