How many pregnant ladies didn’t show a positive until a month!?!?

Question
Period is two weeks late and I have cramps, sore boobs, elevated temps but big fat negatives!!!
Could I still be pregnant and be getting false negatives?

PLEASE HELP!

Answered by Nic
i took me 7 weeks.. that’s almost 2 months before i could get a possitive test! crazy isn’t it. if you wanna answer fast some local hospitals have a test area that tests pregnancy.. blood and urine. most accurate! you can’t be wrong on a blood test! :] good luck sweetheart

Answered by ubc.gurl
Nah… I’ve decided to give up alcohol and caffeine (and I don’t smoke) for the duration of my attempts to get pregnant. It just makes me feel more comfortable… but I can certainly understand the desire to do so!

Do men look at you and make comments about what you are eating since you have your big pregnant belly?

Question
does this piss you off? I was in line at subway the other day and was ordering food for my co-workers and me when some men were in line behind me. I was ordering a double meat ball footlong for a male co-worker of mine and the men were laughing at me thinking it was for the FAT PREGNANT WOMAN! I actually had a 6″ turkey on wheat and the man was lucky my fat hormonal a** didn’t hit him with the meat ball sub. another man saw me buy cookies in the grocery store and he asked if i needed him to get my icecream and pickels for me. The cookies were for my two year old son’s christmas party at school. Stupid men and their steriotypes of preggers. I guess i get mad because im really watching my weight gain and i don’t need strangers pointing out my fatness all the time. ANY OTHER PREGNANT LADIES WANT TO VENT?
Answered by tw9165
ALLL THE TIME, my boss always sais, “Well atleast I ‘m not the fattest one in the office now”-grrrr. or if I say i’ am hungry , he sais, u don’t look hungry grr.

I never had strange men say rude things to me like that and my belly was big!! Thats not cool, I wish they would know how it feels to carry around all that weight!!!
Answered by puertolinda2003
My boss says wow u r getting so big and did u eat or what did u eat…what the hell does he care…and he also says that we both need to lose weight..well ass im pregnant what is ur excuse…uhhh..i hate it…
Answered by Gun Dream
Sometimes my SO does. And yes, I admit I am eating more than before I got pregnant, but I have not gained that much weight. In fact, I was around 15 pounds below my weight when I got pregnant, and I am finally at my normal weight.

Sometimes he does frown when I get a second serving, and I give him “the look”. If we take into account I quit smoking cold turkey, quit drinking, don’t drink much coffee anymore, and now he ain’t giving me sex because of “religious” reasons saying it is bad for the baby, I think eating is the normal thing to do.

to all the pregnant ladies. . .?

Question
Did you any of you all suffer with low self esteem and bouts of depression? I’m at 31 weeks, and I’m feeling very down. Fat, lazy, ugly, worthless, all the crappy emotions. I’ve always been overweight, and before I got pregnant I was happy with my appearance. I was in shape but needed to lose some weight. I was confident, had no problems with guys, I felt good. I got pregnant and was like a bottomless pit. I gained about 10 pounds in the first 2 months. And then I leveled off. I hit third trimester, and now I feel horrible about myself. I eat healthy, but if I don’t I get so upset. I cried a few minutes ago cause I ate a two cookies! I’ve had to quit working and been put on semi bedrest so I’m stuck in the house all day too. I’m tired all the time and can’t get motivated to do hardly anything. I don’t wanna deal with my friends, or answer my phone. All my pregnant friends are so happy and bubbly and cute, and I’m just. . . . Crap. Is there any girls that are or have been pregnant out there that can relate? What can I do to improve my self esteem? I’m worried that it may not just be hormones and I may be becoming severely depressed. . . =[
Answered by chica!
well im just starting my pregnancy and yes i get very depressed all of a sudden. i think its just hormones but remember your baby can feel everything you are feeling and ive read its brain can be altered by our emotions. so think positive and be stronger than the depression. it is normal to gain weight when your pregnant. you have a little angel growing inside of you and the more weight you gain the healthier the baby is… dont stress out and enjoy the pregnancy.
Answered by Leuco
It’s probably not “just” hormones but that’s certainly the main contributing factor. Weigth gain will have that affect on anyone though.

I’m kinda in the same boat, except I HAVE to get up and go to work every day. If I didn’t, I’d probably be sitting around thinking about how fat I am and how gross I look and crying and eating.

We have this girl at work who’s pregnant and tiny and looks like she’s ready to try out for a marathon… and win. I hate her. She makes me feel fat and frumpy. B*tch.

Does this make me a bad person? Maybe. Would I feel this way if I weren’t pregnant? Nope. That’s how I put it into perspective. I know that once baby is born I’ll feel better. Most of the weight will come off naturally and I plan to exersise from home, which will make the world of difference.

Always look at the bright side… these feelings are temporary.

Answered by Sarah
i cried for three hours last night….because i felt ugly bitchy, and i wanted a shot, and i wanted a cigarette and i knew i couldn’t have one….i kno exactly how you feel…..people say pregnancy is the best time of ur life…obviously a man said that becasue he could never get pregnant
Answered by me
I think you just need to realize that you are the same beautiful women you were before you got pregnant only now you have a beautiful baby inside of you the extra weight you have put on you can lose after the baby is born. Every pregnancy is different so don’t compare yourself to your friends. if you don’t want to be around other people you don’t have to just relax and enjoy the time you have with your baby and ounce you give birth and have the baby there with you the weight nausea and everything else will seem so worth it I’m sure you will be fine don’t concentrate on oh I’m being too pessimistic concentrate on how happy you will be when you have your baby which will very soon good luck

I work with mostly men, but one other woman in the office. What gets me is all the guys come up and start rubbing my belly. I’m at the point now, when they rub mine I rub their’s right back. “How do YOU like it?” With the woman, though, it’s the worst! “Do you ever quit eating?” “Is the doctor sure you’re not having twins?” “I wasn’t even showing at 4 months! I wasn’t as big as you are until I was due.” Look, Lady, I’m petite and didn’t have any fat covering my uterus. My doctor informed me my uterus’ growing state was going to show everything right from the beginning.

I think you’re being a little sensitive because of the hormones. Some men want to acknowledge your “bundle of joy” but don’t know how to do so, so they end up making silly comments. When I was about 8 months pregnant with our second I went to my husband’s office to meet him for lunch. As we were walking out a few of his co-workers (all men) were talking to me, one of them asked where we were going to eat and I said to a diner because I wanted pancakes. He looked at me and said ” You might want to re think that, you look like you’ve put on some weight.” He was joking of course, but I still thought it was funny.

I had a similar problem. I am overweight, and I was while pregnant too. I lost weight until my 7th month, which the doc was FINE with. I started eating healthier and the weight melted off. But, It was kinda hard to tell I was pregnant until later on because of my size…

I was in college at the time (senior year), and walking between classes…some rude SOB frat boys drove by me and started making comments on my size and how fat I was. Pissed me off….if they weren’t driving I would have flung my books at them, I swear. Some people can be SO rude.

Men just dont know how to be tactful and sensitive….

They assume they know everything about pregnancy and they dont! Dont let it get to you, I know it is hard but they are just trying to understand women and the pregnancy progress….
