How will the Houston texans do?
Question
with all the diff changes in QB and other positions, any body got a prediction on the season? playoff chance at all?
Answered by dabears81418
8-8, AFC so no playoffs. if it were NFC they’d have a chance.

Not So well…Even though they got a beast in the draft, who will become a true NFL great, we won’t see much or should I say won’t expect much from the 19 yr old. The reason they suck so bad is mainly their O-line, David Carr wasn’t as bad as everyone says he is, he just played behind a crappy o-line that couldn’t protect their QB, just look at Oakland with all that talent, screwed Aaron Brooks by making him look worse than he is. Schaub might do better, but no one knows what he will do at all. The only thing that has a glimmer of hope for them is Big Boy Johnson..Look for another top season passing 1,000 yds easily. Probably a big upset against the Colts again hahaha, they might go 7-9 or 8-8, thats all.

6-10 again they should of kept Carr and got a better O-line

Houston we have a problem…..?
Question
Okay as much as I would like to ask questions about the Houston Texans.
I am here to find out if any body caught on the news what places will be showing the Pats/Colts game? Leave it to the Texans to be playing at the same time as the most hyped up game so far. Don’t like either team but I hate the Colts the most so I am rooting for the Pats. So if somebody can shoot me a link or knows of a good sports Bar besides Hooters because I know it will packed. would really appreciate it.

when i lived in houston, i used to love going to buffalo wild wings on westheimer. it’s a pretty big sports bar, with tons of tvs. they never have all 20+ tvs on one game.
Answered by John W
Call several sports bars and ask what their main game is. I agree that Buffalo Wild Wings will have all the games on, but not sure which game will have the audio on. Just call around and find out.

When is the NFL going to put a team in Houston?
Question
Yea I know it’s a low blow but honestly no body even mentions the texans they’re so bad. lol

Don’t be too quick on pushing down the Texans. All they need is an O-line. They’ve got an allstar in Andre Johnson, and young blossom in Schuab, a solid vet in Ahman Green, and a good defense. (what did I just say!?) Yeah, their D has 3 great linemen, a flurry of solid linebackers, and 2 cover corners. All they need is a leader in that unit…
…and I don’t even like the Texans. (Go Philly!!)

Considering all the free agents moves they made with Matt Shuabb and Ahman Green etc… i’d say they go 7-9 missing the playoffs by two games. Heres why:
Yes Matt Shuabb has looked good in limited playing time, but the jury is still out on whether he can produce for a full season like that, not to mention learning a new offense in Gary Kubiak/Mike Sherman’s system. Ahman Green should be comfortable in the zone blocking scheme after having a year to learn it in Green Bay, but he will need to be spelled here and their to get full production from him.
The defense was a little suspect last year. Yes Demeco Ryans was terrific and Daunte Robinson is a young but very good cornerback. But after that the defense fell off. Mario Williams wasn’t the dominant force everyone made it out to be. The secondary is in question with no real stars back thereaside from Robinson.
Bottom Line: They will be better, but with a few weaknesses still and too many contenders in the AFC South (pretty much all of them if Tennessee can repeat what it did last year) and in the AFC in general, but Gary Kubiak has got this team in the right direction.
Three, maybe four wins at best.
srry but the texens are stinky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i say 4-12 but u naver no
They won´t be as bad as they were last year but not so great they will probably be around .500 like 7-9 or 8-8 but not much better they still don´t have a great offensive line but if Dominick Davis has a healthy season for once they will be some tough competition.
i think the texans will go 8-8 and i think schaub will do better than carr last comment go BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6-10, no chance at all for the playoffs. You could put Joe Montana behind that o-line and still not have a winning team. They can’t hold a block long enough for any plays that don’t develop right away, so that limits the entire playbook. Schaub can’t move nearly as well as Carr and will be playing from his back for a good part of the season.
i’d say 7-9. you never know, i don’t have their schedule in front of me, but if they have a favorable schedule, they might do somewhat well.
First let me get this out of the way.
I thought they were gonna draft Brady Quinn. They drafted some tall and big boys on OL and D.
I just looked at their schedule for the upcoming season.
Unless the changes that are made during off-season and up to the start of the season turn out to be spectacular and are the changes that will be pro-bowl caliber starters and instantly transform them into contenders, they’ll have a dismal season; probably the same as last year; OR WORSE.
No playoffs for you.
I’d like to be wrong tho.
With a few breaks, they could be this season’s New Orleans. But don’t forget that they’re in the same division as the Colts.
Quarterback, is probably the one position, they should have left alone.
had they drafted or, traded for an offensive line, they may have been better, this season. now, I fear they will struggle to do as good as last year. who is making the personnel decision’s, down there?
They are my dark horse team. I honestly think that they have the DROY in Okoye and their defense will be better than people think. They could put a scare in many teams, but there is no way they could win thier division with Peyton Manning and the Colts. However, there is a good chance that they could go 9-7 and possibly take a wild card spot.
They are in a tough division. Jacksonville seems to put up 8-10 wins a season, indy will win at least 9 ( they have gotten worse in the off season). Here is their schedule and how I think it will go:
KC (L)
Carolina (L)
Indy (L)
Atlanta (W)
Miami (W)
Jacksonville (W) -they just have their number recently
Tennessee (W)
San Diego (L)
Oakland (W)
New Orleans (W)
Cleveland (W)
Tennessee (L)
Tampa Bay (L)
Denver (L)
Indy (L)
Jacksonville (L)
7-9 best record in franchise history and a great stepping stone for the future.
Go Texans Go!!!!!!!
I am a fan but with all that said we need a receiver to step up and help Johnson, and that front 4 to create some pressure!
I am not even sure the Texans will be the best football team in Houston this year. Too many changes to have a good season this year. UH and Rice would give them a battle. My guess is 4-12. And I really hope that I am wrong.
New Quarterback, same offensive line, injury prone running back, no complimentary wide receiver to Andre Johnson, but a promising defense. But as the entrance theme for Vince McMahon says, you’ve got no chance in hell. thats what youve got
Every year.
Haven’t gone to one since 2003. Not gonna try and cadge some tickets this year.
not me.
It is going to be a national televised game on CBS.
~~GO COLTS GO~~
That was funny… Ha… I actually think the Texans might be the sleeper team this season… and by sleeper I mean opponents will use the Texans as a bye week to rest.
they’ll put a team in veagas la and portland over houston
When Warren Moon comes out of retirement!!!!!!
