5 month old baby boy dying?

Question
I just saw on the weather channel that a 5 month old baby died of heat exhaustion after being in the car for 9 HOURS. I am just apalled. What kind of mother would leave her baby in the heat for 9 hours while she worked?! I guess the same type of mothers you see on the news all the time now. It just hurts my feelings. I guess its just the hormones. =/ Opinions on this?
wow the thumbs down fairy is hard at work aren’t they?

I feel the same way. Who would anyone do that to a baby? It makes me want to cry because I have 8 nieces and nephews. The youngest is 8 months. I can’t ever imagine my sister doing that to him. :( Just remember that baby is in a much better place with Jesus.

Yeah I just heard that right now. I have a friend who did ultraound that told me that back in 2002 when I wanted him to give me one for the heck of it. He told me that it is a form of radiation and that ultasounds transmits so much heat to the unbornchilf affecting brain development. Crazy thing was I just thought he didn’t want to give me one because he was too busy, so I had my other friend give me like 3 of them all unesscary. Real scary. My son seems okay.

thats crazy, but i’d believe it. it is the kind of thing that you need to have done though, so it’s like a twin blade dagger, one side says that it’s bad to do, and the other says it’s bad not to do?

Local News channel 7 has hired better looking news anchors…would this be worth switching stations?

Question
With hi-def tv’s it shows the blemishes better than ever before. We tend to want to look at attractive people more than plain ones. (studies done with babies show they pay more attention to attractive people)

So….one local news channel has “aged” anchors that have been around for awhile. Gene Enerson for example looks pretty old…she is. While anchors on channel 7; Monica Ming Laven is younger and more attractive.

Do you think people will change to news broadcasts that feature attractive anchors?

I know….I have. I used to watch 5 but have switched to 7.

Answered by aquarianblues69
Yes they will. But the objective would be to watch the anchor not the news.

For real? She must have mentally not been “all there.” I don’t see any other excuse for that.

Why do i always have to open things like this? It always breaks my heart….I hate hearing about this stuff…but at the same time..i always open these types of things..It seems like i am one of few sane people out there who love there kids and would do anything for them and would never hurt them..my baby is 7 months..and i couldnt imagine my life without her. <3 RIP Little Baby!

hormones dont have shit to do with it, please excuse my language but im sick and tired of people bringing babies into the world and not taking care of them! people who do these things are selfish and we shouldnt give ANY excuses for them. they are just unstable and dont deserve these children they bring into the world.

i have ALWAYS been upset by these types of ordeals but Sense i have been ttc and have failed miserably at it i have become even more sensitive about them. i just do not understand how people like that can have children and i can not. (along with all you other ladies that are deserving of a child) to me there is no punishment harsh enough for someone like that…

  7. GranolaMom says:

It seems to happen every summer. It’s usually a combination of sleep deprivation and a change in routine- like one parent taking a child to daycare when the other usually does it. Add in a sleeping infant in a rear-facing carseat, and it’s not so hard to imagine how that could happen.

    It’s a horrible accident.

  8. Joyfulbabesintexas says:

That’s old news… midwives have been telling their clients for YEARS not to overdo ultrasounds because of unknown risks to the babies. Why women are so eager to see their babies via u/s every month or so is beyond me… the REAL after birth baby is SO much better.

I think you may be thinking of an amniocentesis. ???
I have 6 children – all were induced & born early due to a condition I have during pregnancy so I paid my visits to a high risk OB/GYN who gave me several sonos on a regular basis. All my children came out big, healthy and beautiful. I cant even count all the times I got my tummy gooped up for an ultrasound both normal and 4-D view. Your doctor knows best – let him (or her) lead the way – if he/she recommends it then trust him/her and wing it! Not too mention, sonos are an excellent way of detecting and pin pointing possible problems with the baby.
