Should I beat New Vegas before playing Dead Money?

Question
I just got the DLC Dead Money for Fallout New Vegas and I’m on the brink of beating the game, I just have to accept the mission to start it. I also just reached level 30 and I know Dead Money increases the cap to 35. So just wondering which one I should play first, if it even matters.
Question: Should I beat the game first, or play Dead Money first?
Answered by Jonathan
Once you beat New Vegas, the game ends. There’s no post-game, so you may as well play it now.

Is fallout new Vegas dead money worth it?

Question
I have honest hearts and old world blues should I just not buy this and wait for the next one?
Answered by Me
What’s this regarding?
Answered by Trinity Martin
If you have extra money, buy it. The increase in level cap is cool.

But compared to Honest Hearts and Old World Blues, Dead Money isn’t nearly as good. I only played through it once just to experience it, and once was enough. Now i install it so i can increase my level cap, but that’s it. I dont play it anymore

Answered by Isaiah
I only got it because I had some extra money and I am a Fallout fanatic. Truth be told, it is just not worth your money. It’s storyline is not that great and its buggy as hell. Plus it is the hardest thing in Fallout history. It took me an entire week to finish it on easy.

All your equipment is stripped and the main enemies don’t die unless you decapitate, dismember, or disintegrate them making combat extremely hard.

If you are a Fallout buff by all means get it, but trust me, after getting through the storyline once, you’ll wish you never started it.

Fallout: New Vegas — Dead Money or Honest Hearts first?

Question
I bought both of these DLCs and am wondering which one should I play first. Does it matter? And can you revisit them after finishing the quests for DLC?
Answered by Animal
Not in Dead Money, once you leave you cannot go back. You can revisit Zion Canyon but side quests must be done before you finish the main quest. You can still explore and find gear. I find that Dead Money is better for an earlier character since you can’t bring anything with you and not having good weapons or armor won’t effect you. It’s a bit tough for a single digit level but I try to do Dead Money around ~12 and jump into Honest Hearts soon after that.

Fallout: New Vegas Dead Money or Honest Hearts?

Question
I am getting $ 20 for the Playstation Network and I am most definitely getting Old World Blues, but with the other $ 10, should I get Honest Hearts or Dead Money? Which one is better?
Answered by Getren
Personally, I like Fallout: New Vegas Dead Money
Answered by Ricky
Dead money is more linear and there is no way to get back after you have fully completed the storyline. Honest Hearts story seems short but it is an open world with freedom to return after you finish it. I would recommend Honest Hearts
