Should Christians Judge People?
Also, shouldn’t we judge people that cause us harm? Such as those that use drugs? I should judge my friend when I find out she snorts coke because I could get in serious trouble if I’m with her and she gets busted by the cops…or she may start to influence me and Iw ould be more likely to to try drugs.
I think the Christians that don’t judge are the ones that get screwed over. For example, I saw on the news the case of a woman that was nonjudgmental and brought her boyfriend around her kids, and the guy raped her kids. Come to find out, he was a registered sex offender. Also, with elizabeth smart, the man that kidnapped her was a drunk that her dad offered to help out thru the church..He payed him to work on the house and that’s when he saw elizabeth and tried to kidnap her. Bottom lne, when we are nonjudmental of other people that have the power to come in and ruin our lives.

It’s impossible to not judge anyone. Human nature can not help but judge even the slightest for everything we are and do.
You shouldn’t judge so much. The way you speak, you conform easily to society. You should work on that instead of focusing on holding yourself above others.
well I don’t mind if the judge monsters like rapist or murderers. but judging someone just because they’re a witch or believe in another god isn’t right to me.
You’re not talking about judging people but instead you’re deciding how you feel about certain actions people exhibit.
I was brought up to believe that only God judges.
When we decide to leave judging to those granted the authority by voters, I think we’ll live in a more peaceful state.

There’s a difference between judging people, and judging behaviors. Further, there’s a difference between hypocritical judging, and righteous judging.
We have no right to ever judge a person. For example, if a person engages in premarital sex, we have no right to say that they’re hellbound because of it, or that they’re a horrible person. On the other hand, we can say that having premarital sex is wrong. Which brings me to the next point…
Hypocritical judging is what Jesus condemned when He said to “take the plank out of your own eye” before you judge “the speck of sawdust” in someone else’s eye. An example of hypocritical judging would be if I was committing adultery, while judging a fellow Christian for getting drunk. Righteous judgment would be if I examined myself fully to make sure I was in a position to judge someone’s behavior, and then spoke privately to a fellow Christian about their drinking.
There’s a right way and a wrong way to judge. But no one, I repeat NO ONE has a right to condemn anyone to hell for their actions. Only God has that right.
You feel Christians are flawless themselves and that all deviating lifestyles are immoral? How ego-centric and narcissistic.
The apostle Paul teaches us to judge all things. However, we are NOT to judge those outside the Body of Christ. We can judge the actions of a brother or sister in the Body of Christ, and correct them “in meekness and in love”. We judge those within the Body. Those without are judged by God. (1 Corin. 5:12)

The first thing is try NOT to hang around [non-believers] that’s being [unequally yoked] with un-believers.
As a believer you are allowed only to judge those who are believers and are [straying; backsliding] We try to get them back on track.
Sound like you’re hanging with people who are NOT.
Remember, Jesus hung out with prostitutes and lowlifes he also said “whoever is free from sin, let him cast the first stone” so in a sense anyone who judges is being hypocritical in doing so because he or she is also sinful, they didn’t happen comit that exact same sin.
I would first like to thank June M for doing the work of finding some verses. To answer the question in the title simply, no. It’s not our place and we’re not God. We’re called to be like God (full of grace and holiness) but since we are not God, we don’t have the authority to judge as He does.
the first one about the desensitize is not really true, most of my friends are all out there having sex and going out and getting drunk, doing drugs, stuff like that
my values have always been the same, im waiting (not necessarily for marriage)for a person who i can truly trust to have sex
as far as drugs and stuff like that, my dad was an alcoholic and my friends drink but i DONT want to drink or like to drink (because i have tried it in order to know personally) so it had the opposite effect on me, i smoked a couple of cigarettes and quit because i dont like it even though my friends smoke, and i have tried weed once or twice but i was careful and ended up just watching tv in order not to get in trouble or have something bad happen,we just laughed a lot about silly things haha
so to judge in general, i dont think anyone should judge anyone because people are capable of changing,BUT we should make sure its someone we can trust before we let them into our life and stuff like that you know? like really really get to know that person
