What is it about Reverend Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson that people find troubling about them?

Question
I mean aside from Al Sharptons hair, what is it that people don’t like about he and Jesse Jackson?
Answered by argus
Because they see racism every where
Answered by Dart Swinger
They are both phony, hypocritical buffoons.
Answered by Worthless Recruit
Theyre the most hypocritical idiots in the U.S.

Example: The duke rape case, she was black and Sharpton defended her till the death and made insane remarks about duke and their players, calling them names and all, but then when she said she LIED….he made no apology

Answered by Patrick G
They’re racists, egotistical megalomaniacs that desire only to hear the sound of their own voice and care nothing for the people that they champion.

Jesse Jackson Jr. wants to give you a raise if you make less than K/year, quit your job, get on the dole?

Question
Now here is a hair-brained idea only a Democrat could come up with!

It’s still better than not having a plan at all. We put people to work cleaning up communities. He wishes to put people to work through a civilian conservation corps, through a Works Progress Administration because the hour demands As more people work, they pay taxes, they pay taxes into the 4th quarter, they buy wares, they buy homes, they meet their obligations and our economy begins to work its way out of this protracted recession,
Makes sense to me.

Have Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton done enough to draw attention to the black on white HATE crime in NY?

Question
A black man stabs a white woman to death in NY..His reason ? She had to die because she is white with blonde hair and blue eyes. Where is the outrage these two would have shown if the crime were white on black . The media has kept a tight lid on this one also !! Jesse / Al where are you , this is a great example of a HATE crime that you have fought so hard to get laws passed to prevent.. Neither one you has been on TV condemning this HATE crime , surely there`s not a double standard here ? Why aren`t you marching in NY to draw attention to this ladies cold blooded HATE Crime murder..Where are the buses , where are the protest ???? The champions of bringing hate crimes to the public eye are MIA on this one !!………………. GOD Bless her family with their loss ..

Jesse and Al were too busy snorting coke off the inner thighs of young black hookers

Jesse and Al are two of the most racist and hypocritic people in the U.S.
Answered by rukidding
Of course we all know why? Because she was white! Al Sharpton ought to be in jail for what he did to the two INNOCENT white cops when that black girl made up her story. He used her and her community, the cops and the media to become famous. How is this allowed to go by without so much as an apology? Sad, very sad.

Personally, I don’t know all that much about either one of them but the times I’ve seen and heard them on T.V., they both annoyed me.

  2. saywhat says:

Because although they claim to be fighting racism they are actually racist themselves. Also they’re media whores trying to get time on TV so they can make money.

  3. djkinsaul1 says:

As a white man, I can tell you that I do not like either one of them because they pimp out the people they claim to stand up for. They feed the race-issue in this country, because their payroll needs it. I guarantee you that they will do nothing to stop the business that they are in.

  4. rabble rouser says:

I find it troubling that people always say their names together like that…

Jesse Jackson – Civil Rights leader
Al Sharpton – Fox News’ version of a “black liberal”

When people list them together, I already know that they really have not bothered to figure anything out about either of them.

  5. ohiofirefighter42 says:

I think they make a very comfortable living by keeping alive racism in america……

  6. Vinny_Says_Relax says:

Simple: You get two choices with them…[1] Support their causes or [2] They’ll label you a racist in the mass media press.

  7. Locutus1of1 says:

Insincerity. Unlike Dr. King they are in it for personal gain and not progress.

  9. MD says:

They only offer sensationalism to their own needs (mostly pretend power to their personal egos and $ $ $ for their pockets) but they never offer tangible solutions to problems. Even their traditional base of support are abandoning them…

  10. Grumpy says:

They appear when whites are involved in some kind of racist behavior.
    Whites don’t care for that.
Fifty years ago, Al and Jesse would have been described as ‘uppity’.

  11. Retrograde says:

Jesse Jackson marched for personal liberty with Dr. King, I consider him to be a great man. Al Sharpton is a political opportunist who only supports black people (Tawana Brawley).

  12. iwasnotanazipolka says:

Just two representative actions say it all:

Al Sharpton and the Tawana Brawley case

Jesse Jackson and his “Hymie Town” comment

  13. Din2600 says:

“They are useless, good for nothing anger mongers & extreme racists, without an inch of politeness. They serve no real good purpose at all. They are the most divisive bums, along with Hillary. A disgrace on humanity.”

  14. Jasmine says:

Lol I like your theory. Anything that Jesse Jackson says is completely irrelevant to me, half of the time, i think to myself, what the heck is he talking about, not because I’m incoherent, but because it’s always about race, and he says things in the worst ways. I was reading an article about what he said, and the author of the article was explaining what he was saying, and he (author) put it in such a nice decent way, now why can’t Jesse Jackson speak without offending people…geezee

  15. ridge63 says:

This is going to be a perfect example of the double standard in our society. If a Don Imus has said what Jackson said the outcry would have been huge. The uproar would have been deafening. Crucify him, crucify him would have been all we would hear on the news. But wait, a brother did it so it’s don’t mean nothing, it’s ok.

  16. Jacob W says:

No, but I think it is sheer folly to focus on the words or motive and not heed what he was saying. Obama is becoming more and more about Obama and less and less about any real issues that affect Americans.

  17. Owen Newitt's duck says:

Jesse is old-school, “I don’t care what they say about me, so long as they spell my name right.”

The “accidentally” hot mike backstage at Fox has caught a lot of people.

NBC reported that Jesse, Jr. condemned the comments but had no reaction from Jesse, Sr.’s bar sinister offspring.

  18. carolina says:

The 2 of them, along with Farakhan, only care when they feel like coming out of the closet and when its to their advantage…always riding the money train. Always riding on someone else’s issues. Everything for the blacks when it brings any attention to them. Seriously, when was the last time you actually heard from them?! Hurricane Katrina!
Al Sharpton tried to ride on Cindy Sheehan’s so called “cause”. Though she may be white, he doesn’t give a damn about the person or the”cause” itself”…all he cared about was attention to him, and all he kept saying was that the American people were mislead over and over again…I don’t see him trying to defend this country! I also disagree with Sheehan coz she isn’t the only parent that’s lost a son or daughter in the war (Iraq).

  19. minstrel_of_munificence says:

First, you’ve got to calm down. The reason why Al Sharpton is an ineffective political figure ALTOGETHER is because he is a raging Black activist and can’t perceive the whole issue. And no, those people haven’t done anything to draw attention to that sort of crime, because it just doesn’t bother them. It’s much like how unbelievable it is that Bush would care about the situation in Iraq, prior to Saddam’s replacement. Because there is murder and terror in spades justifies a move in, but because Bush himself wasn’t at stake, it doesn’t make much sense that this could be his motive.

The point is, Black people defend Black people. White people defend White people. Black people demand release from segregation and reinstitute it by raising Black families. White people go liberal and preach diversity, but at the same time harbor the same fears of their forefathers. Segregation cannot be defeated.

  20. john s says:

The “Rev.s” Jackson and Sharpton are not interested in reducing crime. They are interested in large salaries and girls on the side.

  21. Magnum Force says:

No, Jesse and Al seemed to have missed that one. But if some deranged black had stubbed their toe on a crack in a sidewalk somewhere, Jesse and Al would be protesting against the racist society that allows black people to walk on dangerous sidewalks.

  22. eyikoluvsandy says:

Well, if you really wanna know, it’s because he’s a black male that killed a white female. Chances are, he’ll be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law (rightfully so, for this atrocious crime; God bless her family), with a slight possibility of the death penalty. Life without parole is the most likely prediction. He’s doomed before he even steps foot into that courtroom. Most black males are. If it was a white guy and a black girl, he’d probably get 25 to life. There’s no need for a march, and no need for a press conference. I mean, from what I’ve seen on Yahoo! Answers alone, a lot of white people think the n*gger was gonna do it anyway, because he’s an uneducated, uncivilized barbarian who praises “gun culture” and is inherently violent and savage. Such is life. But I can see what you’re saying, although I strongly doubt that the media is purposely keeping something like this under wraps. Do you have any idea how many murders occur in NY every week? Murders usually don’t get hour-long coverage on NBC. Bottom line, the man’s psychotic and needs be convicted of first degree murder; Life without bail. Any less would be an injustice; REGARDLESS OF RACE.
