what is up with the carolina panthers?

Question
jake delhomme is playing horrible. but the running game is turning out to be huge. the defense has struggled past detroit and oakland. problems for the upcoming schedule? atlanta. greenbay. tampa bay. broncos. giants. new orleans. think they will make it through the tough schedule?
Answered by Conner F
you better shut it jake is awsome because the panthers are awsome
Answered by Hydrolphin
Carolina is a strong team thats flying under the radar, and is poised for a super bowl run. Probably, the raiders/lions thing was more underestimation, like the Giants against the browns.
Answered by nflfreaker7
Our D dominated the raiders only 6 points and that is only cause jake gave them great field position and jake had a good game vs lions for the amount her threw 10-19 for 98 and TD and RB’S are beast. unstoppable
Answered by #81 (UGA and Falcons)
yeah. its seems tough for the upcoming, and in year’s past, i’ve seen teams like Atlanta, Carolina, and others start to slip in the 2nd half. We’ll just have to see when they head to the dome this sunday against the Falcons.

What player won a super bowl with Dallas but now plays for the Carolina Panthers?

Question
I heard a story today on the radio about a guy who played for the Cowboys but now plays for the Panthers. He was dating 2 women at the same time and they ended up finding out. To make a long story short, they got over on him big time! One way they did was throwing his Super Bowl ring in the Mississippi River, ouch! If anybody can answer this you rock!
Answered by Jessica
Troy aikman. lol… didnt he play for dallas in 95? and didnt he come back from retirement to play with carolina?
Answered by HERESJOHNNY
It can’t be anyone.
The last time Dallas won a super bowl was 1995.
The only person to even play that long ago is John Kasay and he’s only played for Carolina and Seattle.

When the lockout is over, will the Carolina Panthers trade Jimmy Clausen?

Question
I think Jimmy Clausen is starting-caliber quarterback, the Panthers just gave up on him for just one season, and they decided to take Cam Newton number one overall, which makes no sense.
Answered by AC Stylin
Maybe, but I think clausen is pretty useless unless you need someone to take a punch to the eye for you.
Answered by Mad Eagles Fan
well he cant start on the eagles they have matt vick who is the best in teh universe but johnny clausen is poo poo
Answered by He Hate Me
starting caliber? in what world? 3 td in 13 games played is not starting caliber. Panthers should trade that cancer and get a 6th round pick for him.
Answered by Shake n
Not yet, There going to let him compete first but once Cam Newton takes the starting job, they’ll trade him.

Carolina Panthers how could people say theyre overrated?

Question
I mean cmon has anyone not seen them play. you look at theyre team straight talent. start with the offense, theyre backs they got the new taylor jones drew factor with williams and stewart, stewart is so powerful and dominating he goes right threw defenders, then jake delhomme coming off the injury looking betta than eva playing with something to prove. steve smith trying to make up for the stars lost. Mushin muhhamad out to prove hes not a thing in the past that he still has the skills he had in 2003. and Dante Rosario and Jeff King catchin everything. Then on the defense you got peppers moved to the otha side causin havoc, beason, lucas, gamble, johnson, keomatu, davis, marshall, like cmon dream team on the defense how can u sleep on the panthers. How could u say theyre overrated u can write this down remeba me im making bold state ment panthers 16-0 call me a mark if u wont 2. But ey doubt em sleep on em watch yoself look stupid, they are the most legit team in the NfL…agree???
sorry said stars meant stats
sorry said stars meant stats
Yeh I agree with what your saying but look who they were playing and who they were playing without steve smith and he might just be one man but the heart of the team
Answered by CoorsGood
They’ve barely won in close games so far. Yes, the important thing is that they won both games, but because they weren’t overpowering, convincing wins, people will say they’re overrated until they see more. And rightfully so, lots of teams look better than them. There’s no way they’re going 16-0, it’s too tough to win every week.

They will win enough to make the playoffs. You are right about Delhomme, though. Sooner or later somebody is going to shutdown that running game and Delhomme is going to have to step up. He was 7 of 27 against the Raiders and 10 of 19 against the Lions for less than 100 yards….ugh.

  2. FIFA says:

I don’t think he would be in high demand. Kyle Orton and Kevin Kolb are much better trade targets and give teams the ability to win now. In free agency there is Donovon McNabb and Matt Hasselbeck still. I think the Packers’ Matt Flynn also would be a better target (he played much better in his one start against what was the best regular season team than Clausen did all year). There aren’t 4-5 teams with a pressing qb need.

Hold onto him for 2-3 years and hope he develops so you can trade him for something of value or closer to the value you put into him (2nd round pick). Right now the best you could get from him would be a late round pick or a bench warmer at some other position.

There probably won’t be too many teams that want Jimmy Clausen and I dont think anyone would give up a lot to get him. I also think the Panthers would benefit from keeping Clausen and giving him some more time to see if he can be successful in the NFL. I don’t know how the Panthers feel about Clausen, I don’t follow them at all, but they’d have to really really dislike the guy to trade him.
