Would you trade Blake Griffin / Rudy Gay for Carmelo Anthony / Russell Westbrook?

Melo/Westbrook is the better pair. Lot of good basketball left to play.

Melo and Westbrook slighty cuz of the vast amount of assists you gain. You lose a bit of rebs FG% if you get melo and westbrook and maybe half a block or so.

BUT the main reason I would do this trade cuz melo and westbrook will have to play heavy minutes in march and april for playoff positioning (which is the same time as fantasy playoffs). Melo does not want to sign an extension w/ the Nets, so if (a big if) he goes to the knicks or stays in denver, he’ll be playing for playoff positioning. The clippers and grizzles are outside the playoff picture.

Anthony and Westbrook is the better part for the deal, especially since Westbrook will probably end the season as the best player in that deal when the season’s done if he keeps up his current pace (and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t). Any possible Carmelo Anthony trades shouoldn’t deter you away from Anthony either, since wherever he gets traded to (whether it’s NJ, NY, or someplace else like SAC) he will start and log heavy minutes so his value should stay about the same.

Blake Griffin is the NBA’s most exciting player to watch much like how Michael Vick is the NFL’s Human Highlight Reel and him getting at least 20-10 in his last 14 games has solidified him as a bona-fide 1st round pick in fantasy next season already, but his lack of good FT% makes him a liability in that category so giving him away for Melo and Westbrook will make you even more competitive in FT% since they both shoot at least 80% on FTs for the season. Rudy Gay has become awesome this year and doesn’t hurt you in anything while helping a lot in PTs, FT%, STLs, and BLKs. There no reason he should slow down either, but passing up on Russel Westbrook is too much to ignore so if saying goodbye to Griffin and Gay is required then so be it (plus you get Carmelo as a SWEET bonus)!

i would not trade…..Griffin is a beast…gay is one dimensional in that he’s only really useful for points while Griffin is good for points, rebounds, and blocks.
